About the role
The Senior Engineer – Windows Server provides expert services in relation to the implementing, managing, operating, supporting and monitoring of the Windows Server environment in both physical server and virtual server builds for all of UNSW. The position is part of the UNSW IT organisation but will work closely with the Faculties and Divisions to ensure the storage services operate within their defined metrics and to maximize uptime for the UNSW storage environment.
Essential Skills:
- At least 3 years graduate experience in a medium to large scale IT environment.
- MCSE industry certification or equivalent
- Operation understanding of VMware and how so support Windows Servers in VMWare specific environment
- Ability to create and run simple PowerShell Scripts
- Demonstrated knowledge of Networking concepts, virtualization, Windows Server troubleshooting, file & print, SOE deployments
- Good oral and written communication skills.
