Our client requires the services of experienced Microsoft Data Warehouse Developer to meet the needs of the Department and our business area’s clients through the development and maintenance of innovative, robust and sustainable corporate systems.
As a Data Warehouse Developer you will work under limited direction and be accountable for undertaking a range of data warehouse development. You will also be required to conduct investigations, undertake specialist or technical research and analysis activities, or provide professional advice within an area of specialisation based on systems knowledge, policy and legislation.
Essential Criteria:
Describe your industry based knowledge and experience in the delivery of systems requirements based on the following:
1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Data Warehouse developer in software development projects who is required to demonstrate, but not limited to, the following capabilities
• Development of ETL mappings or Data Integration from sources such as RDBMS (e.g. SQL Server), CRMs, Websites via APIs, Flat files (CSV / XLSX / XLS / XML / JSON)
• Analysing results
• Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
• Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
• Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
• Defining new data collection and analysis processes
2. Demonstrated experience and knowledge within the Microsoft Stack
• Experience in ETL tool sets, such as SSIS
• Experience in SQL database development
3. Well-developed communication skills, including:
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
· Negotiation and liaison skills;
· Demonstrated experience in conducting workshops with business users and working effectively in a team environment, and
· Presentation and training skills.
Desirable
• Experience in modelling data
• Knowledge in using Kimball methodology
• Knowledge in using Data vault modelling
• Ability to analyse large datasets
• Report development e.g. PowerBI
