Because of continued growth, Frontline Service now requires an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team.  

This full-time position is based at the client’s offices in Brisbane, with occasional mine site visits as required.

About the role

Reporting to the Client Service Delivery Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing desktop support to staff at our client’s Brisbane CBD head offices as well as remote support for staff located at our client’s coal mine located in central Queensland.

The role will require occasional site visits to backfill the dedicated mine site desktop support engineers.

Description

Key Duties:

  • Provide front line support for end users across all levels of the client’s business
  • Manage hardware, software and application assistance and enquiries
  • Analyse, test, repair and document hardware issues, including but not limited to network, desktop and laptop support, printers and smart-phone technology
  • Break-fix, troubleshoot and resolve desktop software issues
  • Prioritise and categorise end user requests through our ticketing system and maintain ticket status data in a timely manner

To be successful you will, ideally:

  • Possess excellent client service skills
  • Be comfortable and competent communicating with stakeholders and users across all levels of the client’s business.
  • Demonstrate sound experience in supporting desktops and servers in a Microsoft environment
  • Have a relevant IT qualification
  • Have a current driver’s licence
  • Be able to pass site medical and drug and alcohol tests if required.
