Job description
We are a small digital consulting company with a few large clients focused on mining applications using variety of technologies .NET and mobile development.
We require a full-time Xamarin developer to work on a greenfield cross platform mobile app for mining industry.
This role will expose you to an energetic, dynamic working environment at an exciting stage in the growth of our company.
The position is open to either contract developers or as a 6 month fixed-term staff role with a view of a full-time position to be reviewed at the end of the fixed-term period.
Specific responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:
- Analyse business requirements and convert into technical requirements
- Contribute to task breakdown and project estimation
- Ensure that development and delivery activities comply with the development methodology
- Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of the development life cycle
- Proactively seek opportunities for future product improvement through continuous improvement processes
- Provide mentoring and coaching within the group
Key requirements include:
- Minimum 5 years development experience
- Experience developing Mobile applications using Xamarin
- Understanding of the entire app delivery (from client to server side APIs)
- Passion for delivering the best possible UX and design for users
- Experience in Microsoft .Net framework 3.5 & 4.0, C#, WPF, .NET Core, Windows & Web services
- A strong understanding of the SDLC process and good design principles
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
- A positive attitude to both developing new solutions and supporting existing ones
- The ability to mentor the other team members, develop best practice principles and uphold standards of excellence
- Excellent communication skills
Ideally you will possess experience in some or all of the following:
- A solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL programming
- Mining Industry experience
