In this newly created role you help News Corp Australia realise its ambition of creating a world class data technology stack. As our Senior ETL Developer, you will be the key SME with solution and technical skills driving our business intelligence and data platforms initiatives. You will be responsible for working with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions whilst aligning to our future state platform vision.  You will design solutions and lead technical delivery teams with a clear objective to deliver a highly scalable, accessible and commercially appropriate BI ecosystem that ensures business goals are met and the right data is available to stakeholders at the right time.

You will stand out from the crowd with 8-10+ Years’ experience in Enterprise Data warehouse Technology Environments showcasing the following:

• ETL Solution Design & Development using IBM IS DataStage 8.x+
• Knowledge of Database/ Data Processing Technologies – HP Vertica, Bryteflow CDC, Oracle, SQL Server
• Superior SQL/ PL SQL Skills
• Data modelling & Data Warehouse Architecture Fundamentals
• Desired: Knowledge of MDM, Business Glossary and Reference Data Management
• Desired: Knowledge of Google Big Query/ AWS services
• Desired: Good Understanding of BI & Reporting technologies/ platforms – COGNOS, Business Objects, TM1, Tableau
• Good understanding of Standard/ AdHoc Report design and visualizations
• Data Analysis/ discovery & dashboard design
• Leadership of technical delivery resources
• Ability to lead technical workshops to drive business outcomes
• High Level & Low Level Design Documentation
