Summary

We are seeking an experienced internal IT manager in a full-time position to assist our production company with a range of requirements including setting up systems and day-to-day technical management for our business. You will have strong technical knowledge and vast experience paired with a flexible attitude and creative passion. Familiarity with IT requirements within the film, television and animation industry is an advantage. Our ideal candidate is someone willing to make their mark on the company, implementing forward thinking and effective measures to keep the team working as innovatively as possible.

Responsibilities

• Setup desktop hardware and software for 50+ team members and maintain that all systems are functioning correctly

• Setup and manage a centralised storage server including all internal office networks and switches

• Management of system vendors, support agreements and software licenses

• Research and implement where possible, the latest in cutting edge technologies able to improve our workplace efficiency.

• Ability to prioritise and be across all manner of tasks simultaneously

• Implement and upkeep of all internal systems used within our business, making adjustments to maintain these systems where applicable

• Collaborate with team members to establish efficient workflows and processes

• Work with other departments and help evolve company within the creative industry

Skills

• A minimum 3 years experience within a similar role

• Strong expert knowledge of the installation of windows, Linux and OSX operating systems for both server and desktop solutions.

• Experience setting up and managing OS virtualization on a single hardware server

• Experience with storage partitions and presenting volumes of drives to an internal network and managing backup systems to secure data

• Good knowledge of various computer hardware- with the ability to build, repair and troubleshoot issues as they arise

• Ability to program with C++ and or Python is a strong advantage.

• Basic working knowledge and installation of any creative 3D and 2D programs is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills.
