Have you ever wanted to join an up-coming entrepreneurial software scale up? Excellent! You’re in luck then, and your timing is even better, as you have an opportunity to come on board before they ramp up their exciting growth plans!

Due to an amalgamation of significant growth in customer traffic, brand/product acquisition, and a focus on optimising their software applications, we are looking for their second DevOps person! They play in an ultra-competitive, highly transactional, fast-moving environment - and their culture internally mirrors this.

This role would be perfect for somebody who

• Comes from an infrastructure background and is determined to become a DevOps Engineer
• A junior/intermediate DevOps person who wants to learn off one of the best in the game, and experience a new environment
• An experienced DevOps engineer who is up for a new exciting challenge

Day to Day

• Maintain site reliability
• Assist developers with build issues/diagnostics
• Performance testing of the platform
• Implement and maintain build plans
• Debugging of systems by being able to analyse logs and metrics
• Implement monitoring tools
• Database administration of application DB’s

Somebody successful in this role will possess the following skills

• Linux System Administration (RedHat/CentOs)
• Strong scripting with one or more of either: Bash/Shell/Ruby/Python/Perl
• Networking software (iptables, firewalls etc.)
• Database exposure with at least MySQL
