Well known organisation seeks a Senior Developer to provide specify design, develop, test, deploy and support enterprise applications to meet business requirements. The role includes application support - you will be on a rotating shift roster with early morning and late evening shifts included.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and support effective application systems to support the organisation's business and ensure that systems are adequately tested.
- Support production systems through assisting in incident and problem resolution, debugging and enhancingthe system.
Experience and skills required:
- Proven Java/J2EE development skills.
- Strong browser development skills (HTML, Javascript and XML, Java and J2EE, Struts & Spring Frameworks and Hibernate Mapping).
- Strong skills in Java application server configuration, deployment and management, e.g. Weblogic/tcServer.
- Understanding of performance issues in relation to both Java and database design.
- Strong database design and programming skills (JDBC, SQL, stored procedures).
- Experience in supporting mission critical 24x7 real-time systems in the Financial Services industry would be an advantage.
