IT Support Officer

Are you an IT professional with a passion for technology and looking for a challenge with an innovative company?

RCT is looking for a bright and passionate IT professional to join our ICT team as a full time IT Support Officer.

Based at our head office in Kewdale, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Providing first and second level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.
  • Tracking , routing and redirecting problems to correct resources
  • Following up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
  • Recommending procedure modifications or improvements and documenting work processes
  • Assisting staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing maintenance and usability of desktop computers, Laptops, peripheral equipment and software.
  • Working with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  • Ensuring desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, Office 365, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems.
  • Maintaining the telephone system and providing backup maintenance.
  • Maintaining Authentication, email and other systems such as Active Directory user and group management
  • Providing afterhours support as required
  • Asset tracking / management

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Relevant experience in a similar IT service desk role supporting a busy environment with demonstrated experience in 1st and 2nd level support
  • Experience on Windows server 2008 R2/2012 R2 and linux CentOS, Redhat, Ubuntu
  • Proficiency with desktop business applications e.g. Onbase, Pronto and Atlassian suit
  • Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers
  • MCITP, MCTS, CompTIA A+, CCNA, ITIL Advantages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and manage time
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A passion for technology and problem solving
  • High standard customer service ability with excellent follow up skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly & effectively
  • Ability to work individually as well as a team player
  • Willingness to learn / fast learner / able to be taught as well as self-taught
  • Current drivers’ license
