My client is a specialist provider of asset services for financial and institutional clients.

Description

The ideal candidate will be a generalist who can operate across multiple areas including telecoms, networks and firewalls.

• Day to day management of LAN/WAN, network, voice, data and telecom environment.
• Maintain a responsive and stable operating environment
• Co-ordinate activities with global teams and local vendors.
• Planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, servicing and optimising network infrastructure
• Adheres to standards, policies and best practice e.g. change management, incident management, cable management, TSS, information security.
• Assists infrastructure team in the areas of facilities, data center operations and disaster recovery plan.
• Planning for operations and initiatives of projects
• Manage and maintain asset inventories of managed platforms.

Profile

• Experience in managing and supporting telecom and networks environment
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on internal client service
• Strong fundamental knowledge on computer room design, structured cabling, front end/backend client services and platforms.
• Clear understanding of networking protocols and trouble shooting skills.
• Experience using network monitoring and support tools
• ITIL certification would be beneficial
• CCNA, CCNP certification would be an advantage
• Exposure to Vitalisation technology
• Exposure to supporting Windows/UNIX platforms
• Working knowledge and experience on F5 Load balancers
• Confident in Cisco IOS
