Reporting to the Data and Analytics Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage program of works to upgrade and consolidate the data warehouse
- Own, manage, design, develop and test complex ETL processes
- Own, manage, design, develop and test various reports and multi-dimensional cubes
- Oversee and lead complex transformation activities such as normalisation, cleansing, aggregation, summarisation and integration
- Design automation processes to control data access, transformation and movement
- Develop logical and physical dataflow models for ETL applications
- Document all technical and system specifications for all ETL and BI processes
- Ensure source system data availability and update accessibility, data integrity, restart ability, and error handling
- Lead technical staff to investigate, analyse, and resolve complex technical problems related to system functions, environment, and procedures
- Identify and manage interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations
- Ensure data quality
- Plan and conduct ETL and BI unit and development tests; monitor results and take corrective action
- Perform data analysis, data mapping, data loading, data validation and create workflow designs
- Mentor, develop and train less experienced ETL/BI developers
- Minimum of five years’ experience of working as an ETL/BI Developer/Leader in a large enterprise wide environment with large and complex datasets
- 6 to 10 years’ experience with IT projects and information development
- Strong business acumen with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Significant experience with data quality, data profiling, metadata management and reporting
- Sound knowledge of data governance and quality practices and principles
