The role
• The Senior Solution Designer will be responsible for the creation of designs, governance of development and maintenance of Service Assurance OSS Systems, which are pivotal for supporting the delivery of mobile and fixed network engineering services. You will prepare and present solution overviews for technical forums, or to seek management endorsement of the technical solutions.
• Guide and govern the work of Suppliers to develop solutions to achieve end-to-end delivery of software solutions that may cross multiple network service provisioning and service assurance systems.
Who you are:
You will have the following skills/experience:
Experience in configuring and enhancing:
• Some of: Java, J2EE, C++, C, Perl
• Web Services (SOAP, REST)
Experience in:
• Solution Integration of COTS products
• Solution design and development of custom solutions
• Risk assessment of technical solution
• Infrastructure assessment for Application
• Evaluating new technologies and analysing before applying to IT environment
• HP Temip, HP OVO, HP NNM for Fault Management
• HP SM9 for Change / Problem Management
High Level Knowledge of Network Technologies:
• 3G/4G RAN and Mobile Core technology (hardware/software) & how such technologies will evolve
• Mobile, IP, Transmission, Switching technologies
• Upcoming technologies such as SDN, NFV, IOT
Experience in the following technology:
o Expert in at least 2 sub domains of: Fault Management, Performance management, & Service Management.
o Mobile and IP Network infrastructure
o Performance & capacity management
o Network Monitoring and alarming systems
o 2G/3G/4G Mobile Network
o Knowledge of TCP / SNMP / XML / CORBA / Web Services
o Object oriented system concepts
o Software development life cycle
o Structured analysis and design principles
o Web development & Programming languages in at least 2 of the following (Java, AJAX, XML, JavaScript, PHP, C, C++, Perl, shell scripting, PL SQL)
o Application Security
