As the Director of ICT you'll be tasked to support, maintain and develop the current ICT functions through technical leadership and innovation.

Description

Strategic development of ICT infrastructure and services

• Devise and develop ICT policies and procedures for the betterment of the institution
• Plan, coordinate and oversee all ICT projects, implementations, upgrades, migration and related outages.
• Implement systems infrastructure in accordance with the institution’s strategic plan and ICT’s plan.

Management of our clients’ ICT service centre

• Design and manage policies, processes and procedures which ensure our client has the ability to continue to function and operate at a predetermined level
• Lead an environment in which high quality services are delivered to all stakeholders

Personnel Management of relevant stakeholders/staff members

• Supervise the ICT Services staff and their ongoing schedule of work;
• Be an exemplary professional role model for staff and students;
• Establish individual learning plans for the ICT staff and organise appropriate professional development aligned with goals for ICT staff;
• Assist ICT staff to resolve complex operational problems and take on a hands-on role when and where required;
• Conduct regular performance reviews with ICT staff.

Align with the values and ethical code in place

• Model behaviour which is appropriate when dealing with children-teenagers
• Contribute to building positive relationships within the community
• Abide by all the current policies and procedures created by official parties/board
• Abide by the non-smoking policy

Profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry qualifications with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role;

• Detailed knowledge of wireless and wired networking solutions;

• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Server systems including Active Directory, Windows;

• Detailed knowledge of Mac OS X and related management software;

• Deployment, WSUS, Microsoft Exchange, and Hyper-V virtualisation environment;

• Detailed understanding of data backup and disaster recovery solutions;

• Skills in web development and management of CMS deployments;

• Thorough understanding of audio-visual technologies;

• Experience in authentication systems, including RFID and SAML;

• Detailed understanding of structured cabling systems;

• Ability to manage a variety of different database systems;

• Team player who is able to work under limited supervision and capable of self-direction;

• Ability to maintain positive working relationships and confidentiality;

• Change management skills and proven leadership qualities;

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills;

• Ability to work towards meeting deadlines, prioritise tasks and achieve results in timely manner;

• Highly organized with excellent attention to details and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills;

• Commitment to collaborative leadership and decision-making and able to actively manage both staff and processes;

• WWCC number and clearance is essential.
