We now have an opportunity for a proactive, technical and customer focused individual to join our Unified Comms team where you’ll be part of the frontline team helping our resellers with their Broadsoft Hosted PBX and SIP Trunking services. This is a great opportunity to further your VoIP skills in a Service Provider environment that has cutting-edge Unified Communications infrastructure.


A bit about the role

As a Unified Comms Technician, your core interest will be technology focused with a passion and commitment to learn and develop your technical SIP and Hosted telephony knowledge. Initially you will master the ins and outs of Unified communications feature sets and capabilities before moving on to the resolution of more technical faults. You will deliver superior customer experiences by effectively managing customer incidents and requests, liaising with our resellers via phone and our advanced ticketing system. We always maintain the highest levels of professionalism and customer service. Our Unified Comms team will be there to assist when required and will always ensure your knowledge and capabilities are continually developed.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with a customer service orientation
  • A technical focus with the eagerness and ability to learn and develop new skills
  • High level of initiative to identify and resolve customer issues
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • An understanding of SIP protocol and VoIP technology – Broadsoft experience an advantage
  • Knowledge and/or exposure to IP Networks including routing and switching technologies
Desirable attributes
  • Exposure to a Service Desk environment and working with a ticketing system
  • CCNA or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Linux desirable
  • An understanding of emerging technologies in the communications sphere and their potential commercial applications
