GBST is preparing to start a year long build project of our new Tax solution from the ground up, using Scrum. We are seeking a high-calibre Project Manager who specialises in the build of a Web solution to join our Retail Wealth Management Platform team. The Project Manager we are looking for will be one that relates well to architects, developers and testers, can foster a culture of ownership and responsibility in the team, while at the same time applying project management disciplines.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

• Develop and document project parameters, including scope, schedule, budgets, specifications.
• Create, update and monitor project plans for all projects.
• Closely monitor budgets and establish project plans and processes to avoid and/or resolve scope creep, budget overages, or efficiency issues.
• Work with Technical team to create tasks with Jira and establish Scrum / Agile boards to track and report on progress. Work with team to establish estimates on tasks and track burn rates
• Drive the project team to meet the agreed upon timelines, maintaining the critical path and overseeing the project budget.
• Create and drive project status reporting and meetings as communication and management tools to ensure project health and to provide transparency to risks and issues requiring stakeholder support and action.
• Day-to-day creation, management, and oversight of assigned projects, including resource assignment, budget tracking, issue management, and timeline management.
• Foster strong working relationships with the technical and business teams to ensure quality project deliverables.
• Ensure all project-related data is kept current and accurate, including resource, tasks and budget information.

Qualifications, Experience and Specialist Skills and Knowledge required for this role are:

• 7+ years’ experience as a Project Manager, managing the build phase of a Web solution
• In depth understanding of Agile, specifically Scrum concepts
• Previous experience as a web developer is highly regarded
• Experience in the financial industry is highly regarded
• Strong analytical and decision making abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise
• Strong presentation and influencing skills
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Ability to listen to and understand feedback from all stakeholders and use this feedback to drive the changes required to the requirements and priorities
• Adapts efficiently to changing circumstances and seeks alternative ways of achieving project objectives
