The Studio

Electronic Arts' Mobile engine team is located at EA’s Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia. The engine team provides EA with a high-performance mobile platform development engine that is currently used by multiple games, both live and in development.
 

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Software Quality Engineer, who has a strong passion for delivering quality products and services.

As a member of the engine development team, you will partner with developers and Game Team stakeholders to implement best-practice, technical quality infrastructures. You will plan, build and release world-class tools, technologies and processes, collaborate with a global team driving innovation around issue prevention, verification and automation solutions, and be a solid “bridge-builder,” strengthening relationships with developers and stakeholders throughout EA, with a commitment to making our games and products great.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, implementing and maintaining quality strategies, tools and technologies to support a highly reliable development and testing environment
  • Collaborating on the planning and execution of the engine’s integrated quality strategy
  • Contributing to the company’s general quality strategy; collaborating across projects and studios to facilitate best practice for EA Mobile Quality Engineering
  • Driving efficiencies and technical solutions for software quality verification
  • Assist partner groups and external teams

 

You will have:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent understanding of software quality assurance concepts, testing methodologies, debugging processes and technical procedures
  • Proficiency developing and debugging applications in C#
  • Experience with C++
  • Experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks
  • Practical knowledge of data exchange formats
  • Experience with ETL/data transfer
  • Experience with task management, issue tracking and documentation tools
  • Familiarity with version control, build pipeline dependencies and continuous integration
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, time-management and scheduling skills
  • Pro-active, motivated, accountable and focused, with the ability to take ownership of project requirements
  • Goal driven achiever with high productivity
