Electronic Arts' Mobile engine team is located at EA’s Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia. The engine team provides EA with a high-performance mobile platform development engine that is currently used by multiple games, both live and in development.
The Role
We’re looking for highly talented and dedicated software engineers/programmers who thrive in fast paced, ever changing development environments. As a software engineer you’ll be an integral member of the team which builds and delivers the game engine that enables game teams to create AAA mobile game experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Programming applications using C++
- Writing and implementing tools for creation of mobile device applications using C#
- Programming within all areas of game development, including, but not limited to:
-Maths and 3D graphics
-Game engines
-User interface
-Special effects
-SDK - Working under direction from Technical Leads on your team
- Working within a small, motivated team and communicating effectively within that team as well as outwardly with game team stakeholders when required
Skills and experience
- Excellent C++ and/or C# skills
- Technical knowledge of rendering or game engine technology beneficial
- Ability to work within a schedule
- Ability to work with and extend existing code
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work/portfolio experience
- Programming experience in the game industry would be advantageous
