The Company

Balance Internet is a team of 100+ working in partnership with large Australian, New Zealand enterprises and international business in B2C, B2B and G2B2C sectors. Among our clients are the largest University in the Southern Hemisphere and the biggest Media Agency in Australia & New Zealand. You’ll see many of the retailers we work with in every single shopping mall in Australia.

We work closely with Magento and other vendors to contribute to the products and to ensure that we are using the best possible approaches and technologies. We’ve been one of the first agencies in the World who have released production websites on Magento 2 Beta. We are the first agency in Australia who’ve released Magento 2 Commerce Cloud implementations. We’ve been working closely with Magento architectural team and you might have seen presentations of some of the cool results we’ve done on the stage of Magento Imagine annual events.

We maintain all core capabilities in-house. That includes Strategy Consultancy, BA, Architecture, Backend and Frontend Magento development, Enterprise Integrations and QA/QC.

This role is located in Melbourne (Fitzroy).

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver digital eCommerce projects
• Manage the project scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, stakeholders, and quality
• Manage projects using SCRUM-based or hybrid Agile - Waterfall delivery approach
• Plan project resources, direct work, and track progress
• Report project progress to internal and external stakeholders via formal reporting
• Manage stakeholder expectations
• Monitor and control project profitability

To be selected for this position, you will have the following:

• 2+ years of experience as an eCommerce project manager. Digital experience is a must
• Maintain a positive attitude and good temperament, even in difficult situations
• Build good working relationships with clients and coworkers
• Keen attention to detail
• Produces high-quality documentation and reports
• A knack for solving problems
• Well organised and can manage multiple projects and/or tasks
• Utilise tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Google apps to keep your work organised and direct the project team
• Have good client management and communication skills - Negotiation skills, able to identify and manage different client personalities, expectation management
• Able to manage, control, and execute the agreed scope within the constraints
• Able to create project documentation (Project Charters, Project Plans, Sprint Plans etc)
• Able to identify and communicate project risks and propose mitigation and contingency plans
• Able to plan resources required and work with cross-functional and distributed teams

You will have a higher chance if you have:

• Experience on Magento 1 / 2 Community or Enterprise edition
• Experience on any other eCommerce platforms
• Experience working in Agile / SCRUM teams
• Knowledge on and/or certification from PMI (PMP, PMI-ACP) or SCRUM Alliance / Scrum.org (CSM,CSPO)
• Technical background in PHP LAMP stack

Salary is negotiable and will depend on the experience of the applicant. Working visa (457/482/TSS) sponsorship can be provided to the right candidates.
