The Opportunity
As the Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for the successful support and coordination of this large scale complete information management system. The position will ensure the information management an information communication and technology programs have high level project management tools development and support that will meet the program requirements.
Your key responsibilities:
- Manage and develop large scale project management software application
- Ensure successful and effective team outcomes are achieved
- Ensure project management software applications and products are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines
- Undertake complete development and improvements
- Develop and review and endorse a range of project management tools
- Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships including coaching and mentoring of internal and external stakeholders on project management tools and standards related matters.
- Demonstrated experience in large scale complete projects, including product based planning, risk management, reporting, budgeting and project closure, an ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages.
- High level knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies - preferred PRINCE2
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change.
- Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex environment
- Ability to lead, manage and mentor a small project team relation to product based planning techniques
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
- Ideally hold project management qualifications would be well regarded
