Our client is one of Australia’s largest retailers and are about to undertake an overhaul of their supply chain systems and processes. They are looking for an IT Project Manager with extensive experience in supply chain to join their transformation to deliver a number of technology initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders in business, IT and external vendors to establish a schedule for project delivery
- Analyse current systems, resources and processes and products to identify resource requirements and allocation
- Take ownership of all documentation requirements including assisting with scoping, budgets, planning and allocation of resources
- Ensure organisational policies and procedures are adhered to across all facets of the project in line with corporate governance
- Take lead in negotiations with all stakeholders both internal and external to ensure timely delivery of the project
- Manage external vendors and external resources to ensure seamless
- Communicate at all levels with stakeholders to ensure smooth transition
- Report to steering committee and PMO on a regular basis
- Using Agile or Waterfall methods to implement and effect change where necessary
- Ad hoc duties as necessary
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- Experience leading technology delivery with a supply chain focus is essential
- Understanding of demand planning and SAP
- Experience in retail is an advantage but not essential
- Project Management qualifications - Prince 2, PMP, PMBOK or other
