We are currently seeking highly experienced Solution Architect for our client to work on a major project. It is a great long-term contract until end of June 2020!

Service of Work:

• provide technical advice on requirements definition, acceptance criteria, planning, monitoring and controlling of client’s development activities
• interpret and convert user, network and system requirements into the architecture and technical design
• act as Development Team Leader detailing tasks for Specified Personnel providing services under this contract
• manage and monitor Specified Personnel in their development and sustainment tasks
• liaise with the Department Representative on task prioritisation and allocation of Specified Personnel to development and sustainment tasks
• ensure documentation accords with requirements
• report progress of development monthly to the Department Representative
• ensure application design maintains external system interfaces and data feeds
• develop and analyse software estimates and assumptions;
• provide validation of estimates for feasibility in terms of size, effort and cost
• conduct capability and concept development - process and architecture analysis and development - design and implementation - Validation and Verification (V&V) - certification and support
• analyse the Department’s strategic ICT direction and emerging opportunities and provide advice

Key Technical Skills;

Technical skills and proficiency in the following technologies / languages:

• ASP.NET MVC Core
• ASP.NET MVC 5
• Angular 5/Typescript
• GraphQL
• Apollo Client
• Redux
• DevExpress/DevExtreme
• HTML5/JavaScript
• Orchard CMS
• C#, R and Python languages
• Delphi language to support legacy applications
• Oracle and SQL database manipulation and scripting skills

Key Experience:

Experience in the past 8 years in the successful integration of disparate IT/software systems in Government organisations, encompassing:

• capability and concept development
• process and architecture analysis and development
• design, implementation and support
• provision of estimates for feasibility in terms of size, effort, and cost
• planning, resource management, delivery and project outcomes
• project and system requirements documentation
• advise on application of agile project management methodologies
• develop, monitor and report progress on project schedules
• identifying, designing, and delivering process improvements

Experience in requirements definition, planning, monitoring and controlling of programs/products across Application Lifecycle Management via Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), in particular:

• Continuous Integration
• Unit testing for Angular, MVC, T/SQL
• Azure Virtual Machine Administration
• Azure Network Administration
• Team and Resource collaboration and management
• Source Control Management
• Project Management and Agile Development Methodology
• Continuous test methodology including Systems Integration and User Acceptance Testing
• Code reviews
• VSTS build definitions
• Deployment methodology
