A Fantastic opportunity for talented software engineer looking to work on one of the largest Big Data Analytics projects here in Australia and with some of the most talented in Functional Programming and Big Data Analytics.  

You will be responsible for producing End-to-end predictive modelling from feature engineering to performance evaluation as well as  designing and implementing data science solutions.

• Looking for programmers that understand true and deep functional concepts   
• Understanding of higher order functions, creating a function that returns a function, data transformation, and data aggregation with Multiple accumulators etc.
• This is a fast paced environment where they want people to find the desired solution in the fastest possible way, and using the clearest and most logical techniques.
• You will get valuable experience with technology such used is Map Reduce,  Scoobi, Hive, Hadoop 

Ideally you will have;

• Postgraduate qualifications (PHD or Masters with a research component) in a relevant field.
• 2+ years experience in enterprise data science and a demonstrated ability to work
• independently
• Extensive knowledge of relevant machine learning models, analytical techniques
• Proficiency in relevant languages: R, Python and SQL
• Experience with Data Visualisation and effective communication through charts
