CSG Talent are currently recruiting for a SAP ABAP Developer to obtain 6 month contract with a large end client of ours.

The Developer SAP role is responsible for the design and development of systems that meet specifications and requirements and overall business needs with little supervision. The role works alongside the other developers in the solutions delivery domain and the application support analysts, handling multiple tasks simultaneously. They must work with the development team as peers and be able to communicate effectively with extended team members.
Reporting to the solutions delivery manager, this role will work closely with solution architects, business analysts and SAP functional specialists to deliver efficient and timely solutions. That responsibility extends to Level 3 support extended to the application support team to analyse root cause of incidents and identifying bugs and the resolution of the software bugs.
  
Responsibilities
To develop quality code and its associated documentation adhering to team and departmental development standards.
Collaborates with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of SAP software programs and applications.
Provides SAP support including analysis, development, testing, tracking and resolution
Participates in team activities and team planning in regards to improving team skills, awareness and quality of work
Develop and/or configure, build, review and unit test software/solutions
Participate in the problem management process by providing technical support to solve business problems and documents resolution
Fully investigate proposed solutions to ensure delivery is timely, cost effective and in line with IT and business strategy.
Work with the solution designer(s) to propose alternative solutions and technologies that will bring about high-quality system solutions to meet business goals
  
Qualifications / Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or engineering or equivalent
Over 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, SAP development tools and methodologies, Object oriented programming, Portal, Netweaver technology, Webdynpro, and SAP PO and BI areas
SAP full cycle implementation experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle, relational database, client server concepts
SAP certifications in ABAP, Reportwriter, Smartform, and/or Netweaver are preferred
Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP/4 programming covering the following:
BADIs and BAPIs
IDOC’s
SAP Script and Smartforms
Adobe forms
User Exits and Enhancements
Workflow
LSMW
XI/PO
Web Dynpro ABAP
Experience with some of the following SAP modules and SAP Partnered Applications - SD, FICO, SD, MM, PM, CS, HR/Payroll, SAP BW
  
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
Demonstrates a high level of communication skills, verbal and written
Integration experience with SAP and other applications, is preferred
Data Flow Analysis, Database Design
Team focused and dedication to customer service
Results-oriented and ability to work to deadlines
