Security Consultant:
About the role:
This is a newly created position with a multinational organisation, who is nationally well renowned. It is an initial 6 month contract. You will be part of a closely knit Information Security team of 5, which is made up of Security Engineers, Analysts and Consultants. The role will act as a Security Consultant.
You will understand detailed technical concerns through to developing policy and explaining security concepts in terms of business context, focus on security assessments, audit assessment and risk assessments. You will have a strong background in leading projects as well as stakeholder engagement.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and attributes:
- 4 + years’ experience in Cyber Security
- A solid background in the area of Risk. Having the ability to identify and assess the potential effect of risks and report these back to the business
- The ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at various levels within IT and business
- Solid understanding of business process and risk analysis
- Able to facilitate identification, assessment and mitigation of information security risks in relation to the development and delivery of IT infrastructure capable of meeting business needs.
- Experience dealing with security and risk within a financial environment is preferred.
- Understanding of security from a strategic, high level to a technical, granular level including experience in reviewing router configs and firewall rules
- Strong knowledge and experience with security, control and risk frameworks and standards including ITIL, PCIDSS
