Your opportunity is to oversee and manage the delivery of large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects, by ensuring successful completion within agreed performance criteria to enable enhanced health service delivery.

You will work within the Digital Capability program with a focus on enhancement and expansion of technology solutions already in place at the SCHHS. Previous project experience in the implementation or support of any of the following technologies would be an advantage for this role:

  • Identity Management Solutions built on Service Now;
  • TrendCare used for nursing workforce planning and management; and
  • Task Management Solution used to coordinate and prioritise tasks across the SCHHS.

Your Role

  • Oversee and manage the definition, documentation and successful completion of large scale, complex program/project(s) in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies;
  • Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered;
  • Oversee and manage the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules;
  • Manage project resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts;
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations;
  • Lead and work collaboratively with a wide range of Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service staff at all levels, including conducting stakeholder workshops;
  • Contribute to business integration, change management and commissioning activities;
  • Consult with Queensland Health state-wide reference groups to ensure the needs of stakeholders and Queensland Health standards are met;
  • Manage high level communication and consultation with a broad range of project stakeholders with competing interests and priorities; and
  • Actively manage a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.

Mandatory qualifications / Professional registration / Other requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications in Program and/or Project Management or high level of experience in complex ICT Projects;
  • Experience on complex systems and/ or data migration projects preferably in a Health environment;
  • Previous relevant experience in a health service within QLD Health would be highly regarded;
  • Specialist skills, knowledge and experience in SCHHS local applications and content will be highly regarded; and
  • A Queensland ‘C’ class driving licence is mandatory and a current Construction Industry White Card may be required.
