The opportunity

 

·       Oversee the implementation of information security risk and change management strategies by identifying impact and deliverables, delegating workload to team members, collaborating with senior leadership and management peers and providing insight around best practices

 

·       Evaluate information security policy compliance within area of responsibility, including internal and external audit initiatives for overall effectiveness; identify outstanding items affecting the larger organization and/or information security team and appropriately escalate to achieve results

 

·       Monitor information security market intelligence for emerging monitoring and reporting tools, techniques and enhancements available to help manage security compliance in a multi-vendor environment

 

·       Support a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring key operational processes, identifying opportunities to guide standardization, promote best practice methodology and enhance effectiveness of information security services

 

·       Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility

 

·       Liaison with other cyber threat analysis and information sharing centers and leverage open-source intelligent sources

 

·       Establish protocols for communication with Legal teams and engagement with law enforcement when necessary

 

·       Build and maintain strong and effective stakeholder relationships and collaborate with product owners, key business stakeholders, business analysts and infrastructure teams to review security requirements and approve or modify designs as needed

 

·       Monitor the execution of incident response efforts and serve as an escalation point for security incidents; research and understand emerging information security threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures

 

·       Manage a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development

 

·       Provide a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

 

 

What does success look like?

 

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

 

·       Experience managing or leading others in an information security setting; auditing and risk management; career progress includes increasing levels of responsibility

 

·       Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources

 

·       Working knowledge of information system disaster recovery planning and testing, auditing, risk analysis, risk management principles and best practices

 

·       Identify measures or indicators of performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to established

 

·       Lead large-scale change initiatives, maximize benefits while minimizing impact on employees, customers and operations

 

·       Creativity and alternative, open thinking to generate and support new or better ways of doing things
