Your role ...

• Oversee and manage the testing definition, documentation and successful completion of large scale, complex program/project(s) in line with Queensland Health testing methodologies.
• Provide expert and authoritative advice and guidance on all aspects of test planning and execution.
• Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project testing techniques, methodologies and tools, including risk, issue and defect management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
• Oversee and manage the monitoring and reporting of project testing related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
• Oversee and manage the development of ICT testing cost estimates to incorporate into project budgets.
• Manage testing resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts.
• Manage capability and resource development by leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary project team(s) in relation to testing.
• Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
• Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
• Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service Values.

You will need ...

• Relevant tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications or high level of testing experience in complex ICT Projects.
• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and testing - 10 years minimum including 3 years test management experience.
• Experience on testing complex systems.
• The position may involve travel to various facilities within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
• This position may require the incumbent to operate a government vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required (Queensland ‘C’ class licence). Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.

Selection criteria ...

• Proven experience in the development, documentation, implementation and evaluation of test strategies in large scale complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry.
• Experience in stakeholder relationship management to support effective test strategies, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
• Understanding and application of appropriate testing methodologies and ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate test management techniques, methodologies and tools, including test automation.
• Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
• Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary testing resources team, promoting the appropriate use of standards and techniques.
• Proven analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
