We are currently in need of a Data Migration Specialist to join the team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. While this is initially a 12 month contract there is potential for it to be extended or converted to permanent.

Our Global Transition department is responsible for extracting and transferring data from legacy systems to LEAP for clients globally. The department is responsible for the technical aspects and transition software used by the teams globally. You will use the Transition tools available as well as technical expertise to ensure data moving from a legacy system is properly mapped and checked prior to the upload into LEAP.

Some Key Responsibilities -

Timely and accurate transition of data from competitor products to LEAP
Reconciliation of migrated accounting data
Creation and maintenance of documentation and internal systems
Daily observations and control of projects for the Transition Department
Maintenance of data audit checking
Written reporting on migrated data
QA Testing on transition software

In order to be successful in this role there are some key skills you will need to possess. I would love to hear from anyone who has the following skills and knowledge -

Strong knowledge / background legal bookkeeping / accounting (client/trust and office)
Experience working with legal practice management software
Knowledge of legal terminology (eg matters / unbilled fees, disbursements, safe custody)
Have an understanding of database environments
Exceptional eye for detail
Strong knowledge of MS SQL knowledge
