We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Senior Dev Test Engineer to join our Delivery team. The successful candidate will apply their skills in leading software engineering technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack, from UI to service layer, integrating with our back end systems.

As a Senior Dev Test Engineer you will at times function in one of our Scrum teams and also work in a cross-cutting role driving advancement in our engineering practise. You will lead by example and coach others to automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production-ready. Through collaboration with other engineers your work will improve the digital banking experience for our customers and staff.

As a leader in the software engineering community you will play a key role in the continual advancement of our engineering practices through practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery but you will also remain highly aware of industry trends and bring the best of global engineering practices to ING.

• Write automation test scripts and tools
• Manage test infrastructure and execution of automated tests
• Improve the automated testing framework
• Act as a key liaison between testing and development & release teams
• Proactive in the development of your own capability
• Regularly coach and mentor team members
• Ensure effective documentation and communication of knowledge, system and process
• Foster and deliver effective adoption of continuous delivery methodology, practice and attitudes
• Foster and deliver continuous improvement
• Lead in the adoption of Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes

• 7+ years testing experience using the Software Development Lifecycle and Full Testing Lifecycle
• 5+ years demonstrated development experience in Microsoft .Net / C#, Java/C# with cucumber /spec flow
• 2.Selenium (includes Grid)
• 3.Test Management Tools
• 4+ years demonstrated experience in Selenium WebDriver automation
• 2+ years demonstrated experience in API level automation
• 4+ years’ experience working within Agile organisations
• Strong SQL Server Knowledge

• Demonstrated capability to create test automation frameworks from scratch, adoption across multiple teams/projects
• Experience in writing test plans
• Demonstrated experience in deriving comprehensive test cases that compliments the End 2 End testing.
• Experience in writing effective SQL queries.
• Good hands on experience on at least one of the  industry wide used test automation frameworks like rest assured/TestNG /Page factory etc and desirable to have knowledge on different framework types.(This point will be a compliment to the point of writing the frameworks from the scratch)
• Good understanding of how web services works and testing web services
