Your new role
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Services Engineer to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role will see you planning, implementing and delivering efficient and effective network and system administration services and capabilities across the business. You will have an opportunity to work on a Data Centre Relocation project including a variety of tasks across remediation application migration, data migration, Disaster Recovery Planning, Microsoft Azure and SaaS migrations. This includes working with vendors and internal stakeholders. The role requires a high-level analysis, problem solving and communication skills, coupled with a strong customer service focus, troubleshooting and recommendations for problem remediation.
As a senior member of the team you will provide coaching and guidance to the wider infrastructure team and act as the escalation point and 2IC when required.
What we are looking for?
You have demonstrated experience across all areas of infrastructure and network engineering and you enjoy coaching people and sharing your knowledge with the wider infrastructure team. You are a skilled communicator and can work with diverse internal stakeholders and vendors. You have demonstrated experience in technology transformation and leading projects using Agile methodology.
Ideally, you will have;
- Demonstrated experience working in Data Centre relocations projects
- Demonstrated experience working in financial services
- Experience working in an ITIL environment
- Microsoft Infrastructure (MCITP 2008/MCSE 2012)
- PowerShell and other Scripting
- Cloud skills, Active directory / Group Policy skills
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline
- VMware VCP - current
