Our client is a globally known IT outsourcer who provides services to well-known organisations around the world. They are currently in the market looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract based in their state of the art Macquarie Park offices.

In this role, you will be required to work with external customers of the business and provide design to support and migration activities. The organisation has a new cloud offering that they are providing their clients, and looking for someone to assist in the migrations of their clients to their cloud solution.

The organisation is building a new cloud using VMware, which sits on brocade / extreme network stack and connects and integrates with multiple environments, mainly Cisco.

Overall, they are looking for someone to assist in skills in VMware specifically NSX/ Vcloud director, but still has the solid in depth networking background as the focus in the network side and not the virtualisation piece.

In order to secure this role, you will be required to have the following background and experience:

• Previous experience as a network consultant with previous design, support, implementation experience of network projects
• In depth experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure on an enterprise scale
• Strong skills in routing/switching, firewall managements, load balancer and VMWare
• Ideally, experience with Cisco, Vmware, Vcloud director, Brocade, Fortinet would be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience working with external clients will be highly regarded
