We are currently recruiting an LMS Technical Support Officer based in Belmont on a Permanent Part Time basis for 30 hours a week. This position is responsible for the functional administration and support of the organisations Learning Management System. The role includes the requirement to liaise with a broad range of clients including students, educators, and general administrative and technical staff.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform the role of Technical Support for the day to day technical and non-technical management of the LMS for internal and external users. Answer queries from internal and external customers.
  • Administer the availability and support of the LMS and undertake the investigation and resolution of issues/problems associated with LMS and effects on associated systems.
  • Provide a link between the LMS developers and LMS users in order to improve LMS user experience.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and customer service to a range of experienced and non-experienced LMS users while meeting their LMS business needs.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of LMS configuration and integration.
  • Liaise with support, infrastructure and other business elements to provide solutions for LMS issues.
  • Identify opportunities, make recommendations and when approved implement improvements to processes, systems, and work practices
  • Participate and engage in all activities that relate to departmental and broader organisational strategic initiatives and key issues.

What you’ll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Technical Administrative LMS support experience in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge or experience in programming languages such as Javascript
  • Experience in task planning, scheduling and coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing and enhancing systems, processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an LMS system in a technical support role and understanding of LMS technical management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management including ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a diverse range of concurrent activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with proven time management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and MAC applications and use of a range of educational technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues, explore options, develop appropriate solutions, recommendations and/or courses of action and drive the implementation of appropriate solutions and ability to demonstrate initiative.
