Our client is a leading Financial Services organization who is currently seeking for an experienced Project Manager with a passion and background in General Insurance. You will be given the opportunity to own the build of projects and become a specialist within General Insurance.

Predominately you are able to work end to end or come into a stage of a project and drive outcomes in a highly efficient and collaborative manner. You are influential for both IT and Business Processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective project governance and controls to deliver quality outcomes
  • Stakeholder management and leadership
  • Team leadership and ability to instill a vision for the project, creating a motivating environment and building a team culture with focus on ownership, delivery and collaboration across business and IT.
  • Lead a diverse and distributed team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication styles to accommodate different audiences using the most effective channels
  • Manage organisational politics, understand sources of conflict, ensure conflicts of interest are managed properly, facilitate resolution and successfully broker consensus
  • Strong business judgement, ability to operate with ambiguous, unclear information

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ Project Management experience in General Insurance/ Life Insurance
  • Proven track record driving successful delivery of projects on time within budget
  • Strong budget and timeline management will be critical, as high quality, on time delivery will be a minimum requirement for the role
  • Must be comfortable presenting to senior leaders and keeping stakeholders up to date
  • Proven ability to drive strong communication and multiple levels
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate complexity into a clear path for decision makers
