Application Support Analyst
The Application Support Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit. The Application Support Analyst will be a functional expert for the Commercial Properties application stack and he/she will be the sole point of contact between the business unit and third-party vendors.
Responsibilities:
Financial:
- Gather and document requirements for information systems
- Create functional design specifications
- Support the development and data migration process
- Document test plans, test cases and scripts
- Manage and execute testing and support for UAT
- Create training materials and deliver training
- Develop process enhancements and improve the way the business operates and use the applications
Operations:
- Understand the risk and potential business impacts of changes & enhancements to the application & apply best practices for application administration
- Adhere to Change Management processes
- Adhere to & update IT processes
- Assist in the support and maintenance
Customers:
- Work closely with project managers to ensure project deliverables are met according to specifications and plans
- Manage small client specific projects as well as perform business analysis tasks in support of projects
- Facilitate user advisory committee activities.
Experience and Skill Set:
- An undergraduate degree in Computing Science or Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Finance or Accounting.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Property Experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Analysis Services, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
- Background in data modelling or database design/development a plus
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supporting applications and related infrastructure.
- Solid working knowledge of relational database management systems.
- Microsoft SQL Server and .Net application support experience.
- Solid working knowledge of either VB scripting, Microsoft PowerShell or other task automation languages.
