Infrastructure Project Manager

The role:
As key member of the Global Infrastructure Services team working with SAI Global’s information technology capabilities, business stakeholders, vendor and partner resources, the Project Manager is responsible for full end-to-end project management activities and performance (including scope, risk management, time, quality and cost) for their defined projects.  The ultimate outcome being the successful realization of benefits to the business.

Responsibilities:  

• Manages the project team consisting of resources from business, technical and vendor/partner capabilities in the delivery of project objectives.
• Actively manage and accurately report infrastructure capital program and individual project finances to sponsors and IT leadership stakeholders.
• Drives the completion of project activities/workshops/documentation, resulting in IT and Business change.
• Manages project quality by:
• Planning and leading development of business justification, solution design, implementation, change management, post go live activities and support.
• Obtaining signoff of all documentation (including requirements, project plan, business case, SOWs, design documents, migration plans, test plans and test results) are clearly defined.
• Managing the successful delivery and Third Party outputs of the project to agreed timelines and quality.
• Management of issues and risks, with mitigation approaches.
• Proactively communicates status of the project plan and engages all parties to ensure any issues can be managed with minimal impact.

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum of 7 years of Project Management using both Agile and Waterfall
• Demonstrable experience managing Infrastructure services projects, including: Datacentre services, End User Services, Internet facing application hosting services, Hybrid cloud environment, Public cloud platforms, WAN, internet and branch office networks and IT security services
• Demonstrable experience managing Projects/Programs costed at > $1m
• Experience working in a global business with distributed technology and business teams
• Certifications/Qualifications: PMI - PgMP or PfMP +  PMI Membership or Prince 2 or PM degree/MBA
• Exposure to Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), Kanban or Scrum is considered highly desirable
• Project management experience in rollout of Office 365 highly desirable
