The primary responsibility of the role will be managing fibre construction of carrier-based fibre infrastructure and equipment. This role will be working with and managing the sub-contractor constructors for all elements of the Fibre Optic Infrastructure build. This could include: Directional Drilling, Pit n Pipe, Cable Hauling, Traffic Management, Splicing, Testing and Commissioning of the Fibre.
The most suitable candidate will have:
· Experience in Fibre Construction, including similar Fibre Optic roll outs for Australian Carrier fixed line projects.
- Experienced Project Manager, capable of managing multiple projects end to end
· Extensive knowledge, understanding and experience in Telecommunication Civils Construction
· Extensive knowledge, understanding and experience in fibre installation via Underground Duct Network
· Good understanding of safety, traffic and or pedestrian management requirement related to fibre construction works
· Ability to troubleshoot issue faced by crews in the field
· Contractor Management
· Manage quality of installation
· Enjoy multi-tasking and working under pressure
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Manage the closure of the project, such as quality inspection of completed activities, ensure new builds pass JCI’s, Asbuilt plans review and sub-contractor project sign off.
