THE ROLE

Acting as Virtual IT Manager/L3 Systems Administrator for several of R&G Technologies customers, You will be responsible for providing support & management of a mixture of environments, whilst also participating in proactive monitoring and fixes.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Virtual CIO to provide Technical Account Management
  • Responsible for the overall health of client sites and providing proactive-fixes as required.
  • Responding to incoming escalations in a timely manner via the Service Desk.
  • Mentoring junior team members as required.
  • Responsible for Problem Management tickets and reducing incoming incidents via proactivity.
  • Contributing to procedural documentation and knowledge base as required.
  • Preparation of technical reporting for the Services Manager, Client and Virtual CIO.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of projects and client IT strategy by working with our Virtual CIOs.
  • Ensure client sites are up to best practise standards
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Phone, remote & onsite support

 

REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role you must be comfortable supporting & managing the following technologies and have previous experience with some or all of the following: -

  • Microsoft Server 2008 R2/2012 R2/2016
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016
  • Office 365 and Azure
  • Hyper-V and VMware
  • Remote Desktop / Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop
  • All forms of Desktop Support (Win7, Win8.1, Win10)
  • SAN technologies
  • Networking experience with Sophos, Unifi, Cisco & Meraki
  • Commercial experience providing Proactive IT advice
  • Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining networks and infrastructure
  • Previous work experience in an Managed Service Provider company is a must.
  • Certifications (Microsoft/ITIL) will also be highly regarded!
