Multiple roles for APS6/EL1 Data and Business Analysts have arisen to join a government department located in Canberra.

APS 6 Business Analyst role
The potential candidate will work in the Transformation and Strategy Team (Disability Branch) to assist with developing business requirements to support ICT changes, and take the lead in preparing related project documentation. Candidates would ideally have experience in the following areas:
- analysing business processes, procedures and work practices
- identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices and system functionality.
- using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to support the management of projects
- taking responsibility for deploying solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system
- developing functional specifications for use by system developers
APS6/ EL1 Data Analyst role
The potential candidate for the APS6/EL1 Data Analyst role would ideally possess the following attributes:
- An analytics professional who can apply their skills to undertake data analysis which can be used to identify issues and offer practical solutions and recommendations to support strategic decision making and improve the way the department operates;
- individuals with a capacity to provide a basic level of support to departmental staff in the use of analytical tools to undertake data analysis;
- individuals with strong communication skills to form good working relationships with team members and business areas

Candidates at the EL1/APS 6 - It is essential you have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated record in delivering complex projects and management experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to work to time frames and prioritise workloads
- Relevant prior experience
