The role
The Datacom Software Asset Manager will provide software asset management (SAM) expertise to deliver onsite a Managed SAM Service to Datacom's customers. The SAM specialist will have the ability to champion the delivery of the managed service and processes, provide quality customer service enhancements in optimising the service.
You will provide quality customer solution enhancements in optimising the SAM solution, planning the solution implementation, championing the delivery of the solution and processes, and verification and continued maintenance of the solution.
Essentially, the Software Asset Management Specialist will work with client Delivery managers to:
- act as SAM Subject Matter Expert for the delivery team on the account
- ensure effective and smooth delivery of our customer's SAM solutions
- contribute to the achievement of the outcomes of the contract
- support the Business Operation Process.
The person
This role will suit someone who is experienced in software asset management and is looking for a career move to an organisation that is growing and where this capability is being built.
You will need to be proactive, independent, enthusiastic and interested in being part of a larger team delivering a high quality and complex service to a large customer. You won't be siloed in your role and there is an expectation that you will become part of the account team - you will need to be able to work autonomously, but you will be part of the team.
Key to success in this role is expertise developed over 3+ years in a similar role, as you will be viewed as the Software Asset Management (SAM) primary contact for this account. Your ability to work with other members of the client management team to develop and deliver quality solutions for our client is critical to the success of our model.
