Our client, a large government department, is seeking a Senior ICT Contract Manager to manage complex duties relating to ICT procurement activities, ICT contract management and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ICT-related procurement and contract management within a government organisation, with health industry experience a desirable bonus.
This is a fixed-term contract opportunity initially through December 2018 at the AO8 level, based on the Brisbane CBD fringe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and deliver high quality ICT procurement advice and services, involving Procurement planning activities including Sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes.
- Provide ICT contract management services to the division and its customers.
- Apply effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with internal and external clients and service providers.
- Review the performance of suppliers and associated contracts to ensure the terms and conditions of those contracts are being adhered to.
- Manage the review and renewal process for all ICT contracts.
- Work with the selected strategic suppliers and introduce targeted improvements.
- Prepare written reports and recommendations in a range of areas including ICT industry engagement initiatives and contract management improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of awareness and training sessions on industry engagement, contract management and the development of ICT promotional and communications material.
- Contribute to the development and communication of corporate information management strategies, policies, standards and plans to promote best practice in managing supplier relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary information technologies, products, services, best practice, government policies and industry trends.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated high level ability to lead and manage complex contracts, preferably IM/ICT contracts in the healthcare industry.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders in reference to supplier relationship management and control of contract documentation.
- Proven high level negotiation, consultation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex contractual arrangement with advanced capacity to develop creative approaches to address complex contractual issues.
- Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
- [Desirable] Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in ICT procurement and contract management, GITC or other similar jurisdictional ICT contract management frameworks.
