Based in Adelaide, we are now seeking a highly experienced SAS developer supporting our premium government customer. Primarily, you will provide analysis and resolution of issues requiring specialist knowledge of the SAS94 intelligence platform and the related SAS tools.

A strong background and experience in the Base SAS 4GL and SAS macro language is required combined with solid experience with SAS DI Studio. You will possess a demonstrated background in data analysis and constructing SAS queries and SAS Stored Processes using SAS Enterprise Guide. In addition, you will design, construct and implement new data feeds to the SAS data warehouse, build complex reports for the business and be involved in the maintenance of overnight SAS ETL Extract-Transform-Load programs.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills & experience:

• Demonstrated programming and development skills in Base SAS 4GL.
• Demonstrated programming and development skills in SAS macro language.
• Understanding of the SAS multi-tier architecture (compute tier, metadata tier, mid-tier and SAS PC File Server).
• SAS Enterprise Guide.
• SAS Management Console, including the SAS security layer and Access Control Templates.
• SAS Data Integration Studio.
• SAS Web tier components including portals, portlets, dashboards and indicators.
• SAS Schedule Manager and Platform LSF (Process Manager).
• Unix-Linux Cron Scheduler.
• Knowledge of SAS Web Report Studio, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS APM, SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, SAS Information Map Studio, SAS OLAP Cube Studio, Unix-Linux are also required.
• Ability to work closely with team members and the business to understand the business processes, data and develop code to automate the processes or develop new business functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high quality solutions for complex business requirements on time.
• Ability to run and undertake data investigation and analysis, and to develop or improve code based on that analysis.
• Capability to implement solutions based on the best coding standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team and engage with stakeholders successfully.
• Solid experience in enterprise scale environments, including a working knowledge of ITIL principles. Understanding how to manage incidents, problems, change requests, tasks, reviews and other ITIL components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and customers.
