Position Objectives

• Coordinate the operational ICT requirements of the organisation
• Coordinate the implementation of technology projects to improve the organisations processes and procedures in line with business plans and strategies.
• Coordinate the activities of the ICT unit in accordance with organisation policies
• Develop and administer the technology environment according to best practice technology management policies, standards and procedures and in line with organisational priorities and risk
• Assist the Information Services Manager with the development of aligned strategic and operational plans

Key Selection Criteria

• Experience in providing administrative support for technical systems including:
• Managing a WAN over multiple sites.
• Installing and maintaining PC hardware and software within a LAN and WAN environment
• Maintaining server hardware and software.
• Maintaining WAN technologies, including Wireless infrastructure.
• Ability to oversee the installation of software upgrades and to undertake satisfactory testing procedures.
• Experience with the following:
• Server Hardware and systems including SAN's.
• Windows 2008 Server and Windows 7 Operating Systems.
• MS SQL database administration
• Terminal Services/Citrix technologies.
• WAN protection systems.
• VLAN and VoIP QoS
• Virtualisation technologies.
• Prince2 or ITIL framework and practices or similar
• Development and maintenance of ICT procedures and support documentation.
• Ability to display leadership, communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate and develop staff within the Information Technology team.
• Ability to implement and maintain strategies for the security, integrity and confidentiality of documents.
• Strong project management experience with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (including Customer Service)
• Demonstrated experience working in and collaborating within the team
• Highly developed organisational, strong time and priority management skills.
• Strong business systems acumen
• Strong successful project management experience
