Well known organisation seeks a Systems Engineer/Administrator for a major upgrade/migration project. The role involves planning, designing, building, testing and implementing server operating systems, platform systems, and virtualisation systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical consultancy to achieve effective design and implementation of infrastructure solutions for operating systems,platform systems, and virtualisation systems.
- Ensure the provisioning, upgrading, capacity planning and performance testing of server operating system environments isperformed efficiently and formally documented.
- Contribute towards maximising the availability and security of systems, and to minimise the impact of component failures.
Experience and skills required:
- Strong experience in the design, build and support of AIX.
- Strong experience in the design, build and support of VMware.
- Proficient in Windows Server.
- Proven experience in a large environment with 1000+ servers.
- Strong understanding of high availability solutions.
- Strong understanding of scripting and automation.
