Our Client, a well-known Software and Cloud provider is seeking to appoint a Cloud Engineer to join the team on a contract basis for 12 months. Possibility of extension may be possible based on performance and business requirements.

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the technical aspects of onboarding customers and partners which includes providing proactive guidance, performing assessment of environment and remediation assistance.

You will help transform the traditional on premises deployment approach to an automated FastTrack Service for customers.

The Cloud Engineer will engage customers that purchase Office 365 or other Cloud services, assess their environment, network and software to identify the actions needed for a smooth and quick cloud onboarding to define and execute a remediation plan together with the customers IT staff.

You will be responsible for executing the delivery of the customer Deployment and Adoption Experience for Office 365 / EMS / Windows 10 products, while utilizing the company’s IP and assets across partners, the businesses Enterprise services engineering and support teams, the businesses field sales organizations and Office 365 business groups.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a set of Office 365 customers and partners through the Onboarding technical process.
  • Plan, manage and execute a complete Onboarding experience for Cloud customers
  • Maintain strong working & technical knowledge of the service, take ownership for service improvement Manage customer and partner Onboarding programs within expected timeframes while continuously driving effectiveness and thus reducing costs
  • Share knowledge with others through solution documents, contribute to social media, proactively engaging in technical communities
  • Building strong body of work and knowledge working with the Core engineering and Customer Experience teams in the Product Group

Technical Skills:

  • Office 365 and related technologies, including core infrastructure, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and Skype for Business
  • Expert Migration experience in migrating from Mail environments (Exchange, Lotus Notes, Gmail, IMAP) to O365 & Gdrive, Box, File Shares to ODB.
  • Experience and understanding of Azure environments.
  • Must have prior understanding around the importance of security concepts.
  • Execution of end to end Migration Projects.
  • Fundamental networking knowledge - IP, DNS, WINS, IP routing, network address translation etc.
  • Implementation and management of Exchange Server and Office 365.
  • Experience on working with Windows AD designing is a plus point
  • Candidates should have a good working knowledge of the implementation of an Exchange disaster recovery and Exchange high availability plan
  • Experience of SMTP, POP3 and IMAP protocols
  • Experience tuning and scaling Exchange servers.
  • Experience Troubleshooting Exchange Server related issues
  • Fundamental networking knowledge - IP, DNS, WINS, IP routing, network address translation etc.

Successful Candidate Competencies:

  • Microsoft Office 365 / EMS / Windows 10 technical competency: possess a in depth knowledge of Office 365 services and architecture including other cloud products.
  • Intune technical competency: possess a broad knowledge of Intune or any other mobile device management software
  • Advanced skills in PowerShell, Active Directory, Web Services ,troubleshooting and driving adoption across collaborative workloads in O365 like Teams, SharePoint and Yammer.
  • Cloud competency: broad view of Cloud services and products. Understanding the industry transformation towards “cloud only” services
  • Strong problem solving ability ranging from conceptualization to implementation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple planforms and systems
  • Medium or advanced networking skills: switches, routers, firewalls
  • Customer and Partner Focus: proven experience driving positive business impact based on a deep understanding of customer and partner needs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively drive recommendations and land priorities across customers, partners, senior executives and across organizational boundaries
  • Must have the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced high-stress environment while balancing multiple demands, addressing shifting priorities, and maintaining focus.
  • Ability to build a strong relationship with customers and partners and become a trusted advisor
  • Collaboration: able to work in a multi-cultural environment and to adapt to the customer’s needs

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years supporting one or more of the following technologies: Exchange, SharePoint, Skype, Teams, Active Directory, Windows 10, Core Identity / Security , Networking Solutions.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of Technical experience working with Enterprise customers

Desirables:

  • Customer technical support experience is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are required.
  • The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively with corporate customers, possess an understanding of the onboarding process and demonstrate a vision of the businesses future support.
  • The candidate should also have excellent customer service skills, good verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to handle complex customer situations.
