My client who is a market leading organisation in the fin-tech industry is currently looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their team.

As a Software Developer on the team, you are responsible for:

• Independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members, to deliver complex changes in an object-oriented environment (largely Java/J2EE tech stack)
• Follow approved life cycle methodologies (Agile/Scrum), create design documents, and perform coding and testing
• Interact with development peers and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration
• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience required
• 3 years of experience in requirements analysis, object-oriented design, coding and unit testing of scalable web applications required
• 3 years J2EE development experience with a combination of the following skills:
• Java, Spring, Spring Boot
• Developing and consuming REST and SOAP Services in Spring/Java
• Developing JUNIT test cases
• Servlets, JAXB, JPA
• HTML, Ajax, jQuery
• SQL
• Maven

Additional preferred skills:

The following skills, knowledge, and experience are not required, but will are a huge plus if you posses:

• Agile/Scrum development
• Do you have working in Banking, financial services, or payments web application development environments?
• Microservices architecture and/or UI frameworks (Angular/React)
• C Programming or Cloud development using Pivotal Cloud Foundry
• Continuous integration tools like Jenkins
