About the role

We have an opportunity to complement our Managed Services team in Melbourne with a highly experienced IT Cloud Consultant. The role will require someone who is a self-starter, someone who knows how to manage their time and maximise their productivity, someone who puts the client first and goes above and beyond to provide a great customer experience and deliver service excellence.

 

This is a hands-on role, your background managing critical cloud (AWS) infrastructure and systems combined with supporting core business applications will have fostered your attention to detail and meticulous planning when coordinating and implementing change. A large component of the role will be assisting with escalations from the Service Desk Team, enabling and owning the automation of processes, continual improvement of routine operational tasks and liaising directly with clients.

 

For this position, we are looking for an experienced professional with 5+ years’ experience who would consider themselves an all-rounder however, needs to be highly confident and have extensive hands-on experience in Cloud Technologies (AWS), Automation (Ansible & Splunk) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

 

Other skills and experiences that would be beneficial are requirements gathering, presenting to clients, project governance, scripting, exposure to Networking (IPSEC tunnels & VPN) and Microsoft ADUC.

Skills:

  • Proven extensive experience in migration workloads to the cloud, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with architecture, design, build and delivery of AWS platform services
  • Automation constructs and Dashboarding statistics (Splunk & Ansible)
  • Linux operating systems (installing, configuring & troubleshooting).
  • Networking (IPSEC & VPN)
  • L2/3 escalation support for various technologies.
  • Presenting performance reports to clients.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
