EdgeTel (www.edgetel.com.au) is a Business VoIP Telecommunications company that offers a personal, friendly and relaxed service to our customers. We are a small business (7 staff in total) and we are looking to increase our size to fit the demands of a larger support and sales team.

The skills you will be using, once fully trained, are:

  • Support
    • Helping incoming callers to troubleshoot technical issues they are having with their service
    • Helping customers use our interface to make changes to their phone setup
    • Understanding what the customer needs and suggesting features of our system that they can use to better their experience
    • Providing support and administration via our interface to the system itself
  • Sales (for incoming callers who are already interested in the system)
    • Communicating to potential customers in an up-beat and friendly way
    • Understanding the system and its features so that you can tailor your conversation to the customer’s needs and potential interests
    • We do not cold call potential customers, all of your sales calls will be from people calling in to us, asking about our system and service

Additional skills that are not essential, but would be a plus:

  • Basic web development skills (HTML/CSS/PHP)
  • Basic networking understanding (routers/modems/IP addressing/port forwarding)

 

Required:

All applicants must have an Australian permanent residency.

Desired:

  • Some qualification or work experience in a related area
  • Entry level programming knowledge

 

Wages & Salary:

  • Starting wage of $23.52 ($42.8k p.a. FTE) + Super
