Optic Fibre Technician - Splicer

About the Role
We are currently looking for an Optic Fibre Technician with telecommunications background. Our client, a leading Civil Company, is currently seeking a suitably qualified Technician with prior Telecommunications and Civil Pit & Pipe experience for work in the Newcastle area. Within this role you will be responsible for conducting on-site operations on a day to day basis.
Duties
- Splicing and installing fibre optic cable
- Comply with OSH Policies, Procedures and Legislation
- Effective Time Management
- Liaising with Project Managers, Construction Managers and OSH Managers on a daily or weekly basis
- Reading and Conforming to plans such as Dial Before Dig and construction/project plans
- Helping with General Trenching Duties such as; Digging, Rod & Roping, Cable Hauling, Pit Removal/Replacement
Skills and Experience
Must be qualified or have knowledge on installation of the below.
- Type 2 Architecture
- Type 3 Architecture
- AJL
- BJL
- FJL
- DJL
- SMP
- Current Driver's Licence
- White Card
- Right To Work in Australia
