The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

The role of the Data Warehouse Developer is to support all aspects of the Enterprise Data Warehouse platform that plays a central role for reporting and data mining.  In particular, this will include managing the logical and physical data models, designing, developing, maintaining and supporting of Extract, Transform, Lead (ETL) processes and various data stores that support bi-model reporting.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Sound understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling, SQL skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques.
  • Minimum Five years of Data Warehousing, Data Marts and Business Intelligence (BI), including DW/BI development and implementation, data analysis, report writing, DBA and software development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Data Warehouse design and development using latest Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Azure platforms including SSIS, SSRS, DAX, MDX, R, TSQL.
  • Demonstrated skills in data modeling, Master Data Management and Meta Data Management, Data Classifications and life cycle management.
  • Experience working in a matrix structure to assist delivery of multiple complex projects, with competing priorities and timeframe.
