We are looking for an experienced information technology project manager with experience in healthcare.
You will lead projects that may involve development, identification of business requirements, process mapping and analysis, systems configuration, integration, implementation, reporting and project management. Ideally you will have had experience in the elements associated with managing project delivery including estimating, resourcing and team leadership, stakeholder engagement, status reporting and risk management. You will have worked in a hospital environment on IT projects or worked for an organisation delivering IT into the acute healthcare sector – possibly around patient administration and/or clinical systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and documentation skills are required as well as good analytical skills and problem solving ability.
The position would ideally suit someone with a clinical or Health Information Management background or degree who has been working in an IT projects or management role.
Experience in the following is required:
- Degree level education (or equivalent)
- 8+ years' experience post-graduation
- Health sector experience, including successful systems delivery into the public sector
- Management of systems change through a complex environment
To be considered a strong candidate for this role, you will have at least one of the following:
- Experience in both technical and business oriented teams
- Experience managing customer relationships
- Experience in the health sector
- Clinical or Health Information Management background
The candidate may be required to travel occasionally within Australia and must have Australian residency. The role will be located in Canberra.
